Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Abdul Kadir, a member of Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) in South Kalimantan, gathered people's aspiration in his second recess at the Gunung Ulin Village hall, Pulau Laut Utara Sub-district.
"I want to hear directly about the community's need and expectation. We will address all aspirations and discuss them with the local government in accordance with priority scale and budgetary capacity," said Abdul Kadir here as reported on Monday.
He emphasized that the recess is an obligation for lawmakers to gather public input directly, serving as a basis for formulating regional development programs.

The PPP cadre also encouraged people to continue participating actively in regional development by proposing their genuine shared needs, so that the programs implemented by the government will provide a maximum benefits for the community.
Recess activities are filled with discussion and question and answer. Neighborhood unit (RT) 5 proposed the procurement of electricity poles that have not been met and complaints from residents regarding power cables that are feared to endanger residents.

Representatives from PAUD Al Azhar Umi requested the procurement of office administration facilities, and posyandu cadres requested the renewal of medical equipment.
Head of RT 4 Kalsum also voiced proposals related to the rejuvenation of clean water pipelines for residents, as well as the unfinished mushalla Miftahul Jannah.
Aspirations submitted are expected to be taken to the DPRD to be fought for in the discussion of development programs and regional budgeting.
