People's aspiration foundation of development: Kotabaru DPRD member - ANTARA News Kalimantan Selatan

Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - A member of Kotabaru DPRD, South Kalimantan, Abidin Daeng Mappuji said that people's aspirations become the initial foundation of the direction of development from coastal areas to islands in the regency.

He said the main priority of development is to touch the basic needs of residents, improve road infrastructure, bridges, drainage, and transportation facilities connecting between regions to open accessibility.

"We want the development to really be felt by the community. Better roads facilitate mobility, adequate health facilities reduce barriers to citizens getting basic services, and support for MSMEs and the local productive sector opens up new economic opportunities," said Abidin Daeng Mappuji in Kotabaru, Monday.

He stressed that the PAN faction encourages equity-based development strategies. Mapping the needs of the region, strengthening the mechanism of deliberation and recess, as well as monitoring the budget is the key so that the program is right on target.

As a bridge between the community and the local government, the PAN faction continues to escort the aspirations of residents through regular recess, strive for the construction of connectivity such as roads and docks, and ensuring equitable education and health services.

Abidin hopes that in next one to two years people's welfare in Kotabaru will improve through more equitable and sustainable development.

"We will continue to encourage the acceleration of basic infrastructure, improving the quality of health services, supporting the education sector, and empowering the local economy. All this is for a more developed Kotabaru and a more prosperous society, " he concluded.
